Registration Information

MyPortal Login ID and Password

Log in to MyPortal

MyPortal is your secure gateway to a variety of online services provided to Foothill-De Anza Community College District students.

First-Time Login Password 

  1. Apply for admission to De Anza to receive your Campuswide (Student) ID in an e-mail
  2. Go to MyPortal at https://myportal.fhda.edu/cp/home/displaylogin
  3. Under Campuswide ID, enter your 8-digit Campuswide (Student) ID
  4. Under Password, enter your date of birth in this 6-digit format — MMDDYY
    Example: March 5, 1985 would be — 030585
  5. You will be prompted to create your new password. Remember it, especially if you DO NOT have a Social Security Number.
Do not give your password to anyone. You will use it to access MyPortal for the following and more!
  • Add, drop, or register for classes
  • Pay your fees
  • Check your grades
  • See your placement test results
  • Get your date to register
  • Buy a parking permit
  • Check your financial aid status
  • Update your personal information
  • And much more!

What If I forget my password or cannot reset it?

You can reset your password using your birth date and social security number. Follow the I Don't Know My Password link from the MyPortal login page.

If you do not have a social security number, please follow these steps:


Troubleshooting Tips Q & A

  • Q: What if I forget my password?
    A: Reset your password with the combination of the following:
    1. Your legal name that you used when you applied for admission
    2. Your birth date 
    3. Last 4-digits of your social security number

  • Q: I've been locked out of MyPortal, what do I do?
  • A: Go to the A&R Help form, fill out all the information, and make sure to select "MyPortal Account Locked" for the subject. You will receive additional instructions from the Admissions and Records Office.

 

About the Student Campuswide ID

To help prevent identity theft and to comply with government legislation, De Anza provides students with an assigned Student Identification Number (SID), also known as Campuswide ID. This SID/CWID is an 8-digit, system-generated number that is used instead of your Social Security Number.

All students are required to use this number to log in to the registration system.

Retrieve your Student ID/Campuswide ID by going to the MyPortal login page and resetting your password.

Your SID/CWID will be e-mailed to you.

Memorize it. It will be used with your new MyPortal password that you will create the first time you log in to MyPortal.

If you cannot retrieve your SID/CWID in this manner, you will be required to present a photo identification at the Admissions and Records Office to retrieve the number. For security reasons, personal identification numbers cannot be released over the phone or through email.
