Course Description

Continuation of an introduction to the principles of chemistry. Investigation of intermolecular forces and their effects on chemical and physical properties. Investigation of reversible reactions from the standpoints of kinetics, thermodynamics, and equilibrium. Investigation and application of gas laws and kinetic molecular theory.

CHEM-001B-30:Fully ON-CAMPUS-This is an on-campus lecture, and an on-campus laboratory class. The lecture and laboratory meet each week on scheduled days and times as noted in the class listing.Please use the waitlist. To support the health and well-being of our community during the pandemic, the seat count for this class has been lowered. If the rolling weekly average for cases in Santa Clara County falls below 500, seat counts will be increased by six students starting on March 14th.
