  • Each support workshop has multiple sequenced sessions. When you sign up for a workshop, make sure that you can attend all its sessions.
  • Priority is given to ESL 251 and 253 students who have the instructor's recommendation.

Workshop Content

Pronunciation Practice:

Stressed/unstressed syllables, reduced vowels, sentence stress, 
troublesome consonants (R and TH), final sounds, and linking
Presentation Skills: Structure, preparation, overcoming fear, and delivery techniques
Perfect Tenses: Simple past, present perfect, present perfect progressive, past perfect
Adjective Clause: Form, position, relative pronouns, and restrictive vs.
non-restrictive
Sentence Variety: Sentence types, conjunctions, punctuation, run-ons, and fragments
