  • SIGN IT
  • EMAIL A SIGNED COPY to the Facilities Rental Coordinator at the De Anza Campus
  • The agreed upon date(s) IS NOT secure until a deposit is received by the cashier's office

Legal/Policies

VPAC Rentals are SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

  1. Contract may be canceled at any time prior to use should facilities be needed for college purposes.
  2. Permittee agrees that they have read, agree to, and understand all VPAC Rental Policies.
  3. Permittee shall be responsible for any damages sustained to the school premises, furniture, or equipment that is caused due to the occupancy of the Permittee.
  4. Permittee will be required to pay additional custodial cleanup fees if excessive mess or waste is left behind.
  5. Permittee shall abide by and enforce the rules, regulations, and policies of the Foothill-De Anza Community College District governing the use of college facilities.
  6. Permittee agrees to hold the Foothill-De Anza Community College District, its Governing Board, the individual members thereof, and all District officers, agents, and employees free and harmless from any loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense that may arise during or be caused in any way by such use or occupancy of school property.
  7. Smoking is not allowed on Campus except in the designated smoking areas.
  8. Alcoholic Beverages are only a allowed with prior approval and a permit from the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).
  9. Permittee is bound by the contract start and end time agreed upon with the Campus Facilities Rental Coordinator. Time overage will be charged at a per hour overtime rate for any amount of time past contract end time.
  10. Evidence of insurance policy listing De Anza College as additionally insured must be received in the Facilities Office at least one week prior to date of use.
  11. Rental fees must be paid in full two (2) weeks prior to event.
  12. Cancellation of contract less than four (4) weeks prior to event will result in loss of deposit.
  13. The VPAC lighting plot is rented “as-is” and will not be modified or added upon unless approved by Campus Facilities Rental Coordinator.
  14. Additional charges will be applied for rental of Dance Marley, Steinway Grand Piano, and Orchestra Shell.
  15. No outside food or beverages without prior approval.
  16. Permittee agrees to ensure that all members of the Organization who may participate in events conducted on District premises are aware of the District’s safety protocols and practice safety measures (including wearing mask, social distancing, washing or sanitizing hands etc.).

The use of College facilities is subject to all conditions, including all rules and regulations governing the facilities, imposed by the College, and in addition the Renter agrees to guarantee the College against all loss or damage to the rented premises or to the building or to the fittings or furnishings thereof during the time that said facilities are used or are under control of the Renter. In this respect, the Renter agrees to furnish a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1 million listing De Anza College as additionally insured. Said insurance shall provide primary coverage regardless of other policies Renter may have, and shall state that the same may not be altered or canceled to the College's detriment without 30 days prior written notice to College. Renter agrees to provide College in advance of occupancy with certificates showing such insurance to be in force. Renter hereby accepts contract and agrees to be bound by terms and conditions herein.
