Chapter 1 Resources:
The worksheets below with application examples (word problems) will be used in class for sections 1.3, 1.4, 1.5. Use these worksheets to follow in class examples. Some but not all examples will be done in class. Do any remaining examples for practice.

Chapter 1 Homework:
Section 1.1 & 1.2 are review of prealgebra and algebra skills Do as many of the assigned problems as you need to in order to recall and master the skills for slope and graphing lines.
- Section 1.1: problems 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16
- Section 1.2: problems 5, 9, 4, 7, 11, 13, 15, 17-20
Section 1.3 is review of algebra skills. All students should do the indicated problems to review and master the skills for finding equations of lines.
- Section 1.3: problems 5-25odd
Sections 1.4 and 1.5 use linear models in applications. It is important to do a variety of problems to become proficient in interpreting and solving word problems.
- Section 1.4: problems 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20-23
- Section 1.5: problems 1, 3, 5, 6-8, 9, 11, 12, 13
AND Do all practice problems that we did not do in class that are included in the "worksheets" posted online for chapter 1. Some practice problems but not all are done in class. Solutions for all worksheet problems will be posted in Catalyst after we have completed chapter 1 in class.
