Assignments are intended to be a learning activity. The assignments should be done as soon as the topic is covered in class. This is the assigned date. After the assignment is completed, students should review earlier exercises for review and solidification.

Mastery of the assignment may not occur when you complete the assignment, but extra problems should be done to completely master the topic.

Time will be set aside at the beginning of each class to answer questions from the assignment. Write your question(s) on an 3 inch by 5 inch card and turn in at the beginning of class.

All the assignments are on the internet using MyMathLab: www.pearsonmylab.com. Since the assignments are online, you do not have to turn in anything. I will obtain your score from the website. Each assignment will be worth 5 points.

If you do not have a computer with online access there are many in the basement of the De Anza Learning Center, and most public libraries have a few. You can usually get a public library card quickly, often the same day you come into the library.

The access code can be obtained when the book is purchased or purchased online.
