Accreditation Report

Newell gave a presentation on the Accreditation Report that will be coming out on May 12, 2017.

  • Townhall meeting will be held on May 18th from 12 pm – 1:00 pm in Admin 109
  • College Council will review the report on June 1, 2017
  • Newell requested feedback after the report is released and before May 30, 2017

Sheila reported on Counseling Center

  • Counseling is preparing for Graduation Verification Week
    • Students will receive degree audits/verification for certificates and degrees
    • The event will include a giveaway for a cap & gown package
    • It will be promoted in La Voz, Academic Senate, social media, flyers, etc.
    • Dates: May 22- 26th

Michele reported on Guardian Scholars for Foster Youth

  • Just hired a part-time Foster Youth Counselor
  • This will be in addition to the Rise Coach and the support from SVCF

Cook reported on the UndocuAlly Training hosted at Foothill last week

  • We will be looking into bringing this training to the De Anza camps

Cortez reported on a workshop sponsored by HEFAS

  • Build Bridges, Not Walls workshop will be held May 5th from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
