Equity – Neal shared the following information:
 
The Equity Strategic Planning Process Action Items for 2013-14. (Handout)
 
What is a Divisional or Department Equity Plan, (Handout) which involves division or department members volunteering to serve on a Equity Core Team to help guide the division or department in identifying shared goals and objectives, making sure the SSEP is updated annually and is reviewed by each department.
 
What is the Role of the De Anza Divisional Equity Liaisons? (Handout). The Equity Liaison is a member of the Equity Core Team and provides a link between the Office of Equity, Equity Action Committee and De Anza’s divisions.  The goal is to support the campus community in closing the racial and teaching achievement gap, deepen our sense of cultural humility and develop skills for helping each person, and especially, our most vulnerable students, faculty, and classified professionals thrive.
 
SSPBT members were asked to review the documents as a group to help start the dialogue for equity planning.
 
Comprehensive Program Review – Haynes shared the most recent draft of the SSCPR template (Handout) and requested feedback from members to incorporate into the document and will bring the final to the next SSPBT meeting.
 
SSSP Update – Teams are meeting and working on recommendations to the larger group. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 21st.
