Greetings and welcome to our De Anza Student Trustee webpage.

I am Emily Kinner and I am your De Anza Student Trustee!

I have been involved in many campus activities over the last year, working with Integral Movement for AB 540 Student Success (I.M.A.S.S), Students For Justice (SFJ), De Anza Restoring Education (D.A.R.E.), Student Action For Education(S.A.F.E), Environmental Sustainability Committee (ES), and Latina/o Empowerment At De Anza (LEAD). I believe my experiences with the leaders and members of these groups have helped me think more critically about solutions for under-served students on our campus. As your trustee, it is my job and my mission to help all of you be successful.

This year will be a crazy one! We will need to build a stronger campus community to survive and thrive amidst budget cuts. We also need to work to make our campus more environmentally sustainable so we can help our students and our community continue to have a safe place to live and work.

I welcome your ideas and input or any questions for projects we can start to continue to be one of the best community colleges in California! I am proud to serve you and I am honored to be part of De Anza community! Please email me any time so we can get started!
