Team Bonding Activity  

Description: This item is to strengthen the team dynamics of the 2023-2024 DASG Finance Committee. Team bonding activities include ice breakers, as well as getting to know Members’ work styles and goals. 

• All attendees shared their weekend plans.

Business Item 2

Flea Market Update  

Description: This item is to update the finance committee regarding Flea Market and prepare for the upcoming Flea Market. 

• Flea Market is this Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 8:00am - 2pm. Bring your friends, the weather will be nice!
• Mini Flea Market: Still in the process of approving applications. Spots in the process of being processed for student vendors. KDC will be at 10:30am and an additonal performance at 11am. 
• In the process of developing a comic con themed flea market. 
• Marketing priority on and off campus; hope to request new flyers from marketing with more down time; simplifying the website + add more languages; searching for flea market merchandise for vendors + attendees.

Intern Process Update 

Description: This item is to review and discuss the DASG Finance internship process and assign prospective interns with respective senator mentors.

• Izat R gave a brief overview of the Intern application process including the following points:  
  • Prospective Interns will attend at least 2 meetings. 
  • Finance committee quiz 
  • Interview process
  • Complete application on the DASG website. 
  • Committee will deliberate on what happens. 
  • 2-3 interns per senator. 
• Izat R clarified the differences between the roles of interns on the flea market process and the finance committee. For those that have already completed the prerequisites, please include your information in the Finance chat on Discord. 
• Izat R and Nicholas T grouped interns with senators based on interest in finance vs. flea market.

Budget Form Rubric Evaluation 

Description: This item is to review and discuss the rubric for evaluating the budget forms and interviews.

• Nicholas T gave a brief overview of the porcess for evaluating the budget forms and the interview process. 
• Nicholas presented the rubric and how the interviewer will grade the interviewee performance. 
• Reminder to take into consideration the needs of the students.
• Discussion over whether to keep the 'online services' category on the rubric or not. 
• Discussion to format the general guidelines into a rubric.

Finance Canvas Videos 

Description: This item is to discuss the progress on the Finance Canvas Shell videos and to delegate tasks to finish it.

• Nicholas T gave the announcement for interns about taking the quiz to move forward with the interview process. 
• Finance canvas video will be made; basic overview is established. 
• Script will be redistributed to different people; assign senators to the project. 
• Goal is to be more accessible as a committee.
• Benjamin F will be the point of contact for the Canvas Video. 
  • Luca will be the editor (prospective intern). 
  • Benjamin F will connect with Izat R with an update by tomorrow (October 31, 2023). 
• Lydia W updated the quiz for interns with question correction.
