Parking

• Where can I park?

  You may park in either of the two parking garages on campus or in Parking Lot C.

  Please visit our website for a campus map.

  Please leave Staff Lot A for handicapped parking, 30-minute vendor pick up, and reserved staff parking.

  You must have a hanging decal or license plate designating this status to park in handicapped spaces. You must have a staff parking sticker to park in staff spaces.

  Obey all signs: for example, reserved for staff, 30-minute parking, or reserved for police.

• Is there a fee to park at the College?

  Parking is currently free for the 2023.2024 academic year. Any updated signs in the parking lots will override this message.

Lost & Found

• Where do I go to find something I lost at the Flea Market?

  On Flea Market Day, Saturday:

  Information Booth, Parking Lot B, Space A3

  Please bring any found items from our market day to our Information Booth.

  If you have lost items during the day please come to our Information Booth and provide a description of the item(s) and provide your contact information so we can call you if found. You can also call our booth 408-864-8350 on Saturday only.

  At the end of the event about 2:00 pm, any found items will be turned over to our Campus Police. To inquire about lost items please call District dispatch 650-949-7313.

Payments

• When can I pay for my space?

  Immediately following the last market date. Mail payments by the 20th of the month to avoid a late fee of $15.

  Payment is in advance of market day. On market day, you can pay in advance for the next market by dropping off a check or money order at the Information Booth (Parking Lot B, Space A3).

• What payments methods can I use?

  We currently only accept checks or money orders either mailed in or dropped off in the office.

  We hope to be able to accept credit and debit cards online in the near future. We will provide updates once online payments are set up.

  We cannot accept cash or credit cards.

• Who do I make the check or money order payable to?

  Make checks or money orders payable to DASG Flea Market.

• Where do I mail payment?

  Mail the check or money order to:

• Where can I drop off payment?

  Winter Break Option: Mailbox drop off in Parking Lot B, Space A3

  Bring a check or money order to the Office of College Life on the lower level of the Hinson Campus Center. Visit the Office of College Life website for office hours, we operate on the school schedule with breaks and holidays.

• Where can I purchase a Money Order?

  Money Orders are issued at banks, fees may apply. They can be purchased at the post office, CVS and Walmart stores and most 7 Eleven Stores.

• How much do I pay to become a 6-month vendor?

  You pay for all 6 months in advance two times per year.  
  One Flea Market Spot: $50 per spot x 6 months = $300 
  Two Flea Market Spots: $100 x 6 months = $600 
  Three Flea Market Spots: $150 x 6 months = $900 
  And so on...

  There are opportunities twice a year to sign up as a 6-month vendor. You can sign up in May/June for July – December and in November/December for January – June.

Space Assignments

• Can I request certain spaces?

  You can request certain spaces on your application or if your needs change once the application is approved, you can make a request in the comment section of Marketspread. Space requests are not guaranteed.

• How do I locate my space assignment for the upcoming market?

  Please refer to the instructions on how to view your space assignment(s).

• Why did I not get the space I requested?

  Spaces are based on availability. We have 6-month vendors and return vendors who may have spaces already assigned. Spaces are assigned once payment is received.

Applications

• This is my second time signing up but this time I didn’t receive an email confirmation. Am I approved for this market?

  After you have been approved for your first market, you are pre-approved for all future markets. You need to sign up for the date you wish to attend (only one month at a time) and then submit your payment. You will not receive an email. Before Thursday prior to market day, the vendor map will be published and you will see your booth assignment.  Prior to this date, you can always go to your Dashboard under invoices to ensure payment was received and see your booth assignment.

• Can I sign up for more than one month at a time?

  As a month-to-month vendor, you can only sign up one month at a time, the sign up begins the Wednesday immediately following the last market date. 

  There are opportunities twice a year to sign up as a 6-month vendor. You can sign up in May/June for July – December and in November/December for January – June.

Flea Market Office

• Where is the Flea Market Office?

  The Flea Market Office is located inside the Office of College Life on the lower level of the Hinson Campus Center at De Anza College.

  We are down the stairs from the cafeteria to the left, or if coming from the visitor parking area in Staff Lot A we are down the ramp through the double doors past Campus Police.

• When are the Flea Market Office Hours?

• When is the Office of College Life open?

• Where can I find assistance on the Saturday market day?

  We are located in Parking Lot B in Space A3.

Seller's Permits

• Are Seller’s Permits required for handcrafted, new, or used resale items?

  A seller’s permit is required if you are selling, even temporarily, new or handcrafted items (including plants) or used items you purchased for the purpose of reselling to others.

• Are Seller’s Permits required for used household items?

  Seller’s permits are not required for personal used items if you sell only twice during our fiscal year between July 1 - June 30.

Marketspread

• How do I change my email address or email that I entered incorrectly?

  Please refer to the Change your Account info including email address Marketspread Learning Center article on how to change information in your profile including your phone number and email.

• If I register with Marketspread will I receive advertisement emails?

  There is 1 small pop up that informs you of their premium service after you create your profile, but it only shows up the first time.

• How do I view my Invoices for tax purposes?

  First log in to your Marketspread account, then click on the Dashboard button in the top right of the browser window, then select Invoices in the left-hand navigation bar.

Check In

• Why should I check in through Marketspread?

  Advance check in helps our student assistants and other vendors to provide a quicker move in. You just show your QR code on your phone through the Market Pass app on Saturday and it provides a quicker check in and speeds up entrance into the market, less traffic congestion.

• How can I check in for the flea market?

  Please refer to the Vendor Check-in Marketspread Learning Center article on how to check in the Friday prior to the market date.

• What if I don’t have time to check in on Friday?

  No worries! Our student assistants will greet you at the gates starting at 5:30 am to check you in and assist you with any space assignment questions.
