 I. Approval of Agenda Notes: Notes of May 4, 2010 were approved as written, and the Agenda for May 11, 2010 was approved.

II. Program Review Due Date (update?): C. Espinosa-Pieb reported that the instructional deans agreed to the June 4 date to submit the departments’ program review updates and June 11 for the submission of the divisions’ summaries. June 15 and 22 will be extended IPBT meeting times—3 – 5:00 PM--where the deans can present their program review updates. It was noted that there could be time conflicts with these presentations due to the many hiring committees that are in progress requiring the deans’ involvement.

III. Program Review Process and Criteria/Rubrics: C. Lee-Klawender posted on the overhead the document titled, DAC Program Review Process DRAFT B, and she brought to attention some minor changes, and asked for input from the team. Pertaining to the Annual Program Review Updates (in the years NOT completing a comprehensive review) the following items were reviewed and discussed:

 • Data (provided by institutional research) of enrollment, FTEF, success rates and retention

rates from targeted populations and all students enrolled in the program.

 • Status of the program improvement plans since the previous program review

 (comprehensive or update)

 • new SLO assessment reflections and enhancements

 • new plans for improvement

 • analysis, reflection, justification for new plans

Maximum of four pages—excluding the date from Andre LaManque—will be the direction given to the deans.

The “update reports” will be read by the IPBT members in teams of 2 – 3 members.

A dialogue occurred regarding identifying “target populations” and adding an equity gap (of targeted populations to regular populations)—add to the “data.”

The importance of having process documentation for accreditation was cited.
