Notes Approval – The notes from May 9, 2017 were approved after removing information regarding the teams.
Perkins Funds – Margaret Bdzil
Bdzil shared a spreadsheet that listed the supplemental Perkins 2016-17 instructional materials & equipment requests from Perkins-funded CTE programs. She requested IBPT’s approval for these purchases so that requisitions can be entered and orders delivered by the end of the fiscal year - June 30, 2017.
The team reviewed and approved the requested equipment document.
Espinosa-Pieb asked Bdzil to include the department name, fund name and a description of the items being purchased in the document text on the purchasing requisitions.
Margaret asked the committee to approve the De Anza CTE programs’ 2017-18 request.
To meet the deadline for 2017-18 Perkins IC applications, the committee approved the budget totals. However, the IPBT reserved the right to thoroughly review all requests and ask the departments further questions.
There was a lengthy discussion regarding the timelines for review of Perkins fund allocations. Concerns about the current timelines were expressed as the IPBT does not have time to review the programs' proposals.
Randy Bryant & Margaret Bdzil will bring a proposal in the near future.
IPBT agreed to include the additional review of Perkins Budget request for 17-18 into program reviews.
Program Review –
The team will start working on the review next week with the inclusion of Perkins 17-18 requests.
