Off Campus Library ServicesThe following services highlighted in the library's website are available to off campus users. library catalog: search the library catalog for books, eBooks, DVDs and audio books. eBook collection: Off campus users will be particularly interested in the Library's eBook collection. Users can browse by category, or search by key word. Click on the eBook link and enter a student id. newspaper articles: Use the link on the Library's website and you will be taken to newspaper databases. Follow the database instructions and prompts. Most articles are available full text and can be e-mailed to your own email box. Off campus users will enter their student id. magazine and journals: Use the link on the Library's website and you will be taken to article databases. Follow the database instructions and prompts. Most articles are available full text and can be e-mailed to your own email box. Off campus users will enter their student id. journal title list: Use the link on the Library's website and you will be taken to a list of magazines and journals. For instance, if there is an article in the December 2008 issue of Psychology Today that you would like to read, locate Psychology Today, December 2008, and the table of contents will display. Users may read the full text from the database or e-mail the article to their email boxes. research databases: Find the link on the Library's website and you will see several different databases. For example: Encyclopedia Britannica, Lexis Nexis Academic, Literature Resource Center... and more. Again, the databases are available to off campus users and the majority of the information contained is in full text format with the option of being mailed to an e-mail box off campus access to library databases: Instructions are provided toward the bottom of the off campus data base pages. |
