INTERMEDIATE PYTHON – GRADES 6-10 (419*)
 is course will help students strengthen their skills and build on what they have learned in previous introductory programing classes.  rough practical examples,
students will gain a deeper understanding of programming and how it is applied
in the real world. Projects will reinforce their understanding of fundamentals while encouraging experimentation and exploration. Students will learn about building a platform and applications using Python installation, variables, operators, strings, lists, tuples and maps, Turtle, drawing, conditional statements, loops, functions, objects and classes.
Instructor: Eya Badal is a longtime so ware engineer who is currently pursuing an advanced so ware engineering degree.
She has a knack for making di cult topics understandable.
Class requirements: Tablet or laptop with a USB port to connect to the internet.

Dates and times: Sept. 18 and 25, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, Nov. 6, 13 and 27 (10 Tuesdays – no class on Sept. 20), 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
INTRODUCTION TO ANIME AND CARTOONING – GRADES 2-6 (426*)
 is class will start with drawing simple objects and then graduate to more challenging objects as students develop their cartooning abilities. Students will learn how to convey di erent emotions and make their drawings stand out.  e class will also help students understand proportion, perspective, use of color and other key art elements
that can enhance any drawing. No drawing experience necessary.
Instructor: Viviana Leija-Sysak is a
visual artist who has worked for television production companies and as an art instructor in a variety of media, from drawing to video and animation.
Class requirements: Tablet or laptop. Cost: $120
Materials fee: $10 (payable to instructor)
