Early Voting Begins (2020 California Presidential Primary)
2/3/2020
All-day event.

If you're registered to vote in Santa Clara County, San Mateo County or 14 other counties in the state, you should receive a ballot in the mail by early February. You'll then have three ways to vote:
- Mail in your ballot as soon as you fill it out – but no later than Election Day. (Postage is free.)
- Drop off your ballot at a county drop box – as soon as you fill it out, but no later than Election Day. Look for the De Anza Drop Box on the Main Quad, by the lightpole in front of the Administration Building
- Visit any Vote Center in your county
- You no longer have to vote in the precinct where you live.
- Vote Centers will be open starting Feb. 29. Some will open starting Feb. 22
Under the new system, your old polling place may not be open on Election Day. But you can find the nearest Vote Center or drop box by checking with the Registrar of Voters for your county. If you live in Santa Clara County, use these online tools
