11/21/2020
9:00 am to 11:00 am
This is a recurring event.
This course builds on the concepts discovered in the introduction to High school trigonometry. It prepares students to graph and solve more complex trigonometric functions using factoring, power reduction, and other techniques. Understand radian measure of an angle as the length of the arc on the unit circle subtended by the angle.
This class meets Saturdays, Oct 17 to Dec 12 (no class Nov 28) - register today!
-
Explain how the unit circle in the coordinate plane enables the extension of trigonometric functions to all real numbers and solve simple equations.
-
Prove the Pythagorean identities and solving more advanced equations.
-
Prove the addition and subtraction formulas for sine, cosine, and tangent and use them to solve problems.
- Graph and model periodic trigonometric functions.
