Approval of Notes – The notes from January 7 and January 14, 2020 were approved.
DASB Report - Last Wednesday, DASB passed an endorsement Measure G and Measure H for the March 2020 primary election campaign for a bond and parcel tax to improve FHDA district.
Hiring Priorities for 2020-2021 - Presentation of the process and review of results.
Lorrie Ranck displayed Faculty Hiring Outcome for 2020 - 2021 for the team to review. She asked them to compare numbers with the final outcome spreadsheet. The members individually confirmed the list was correct.
Having confirmed the worksheet numbers were correct, Lorrie Ranck displayed the Faculty Ranking For 2020 – 2021 Final Outcome.
The following positions were selected for 2020-2021 hire:
- Math A
- Math B
- Automotive Technology A
- Math C
- Automotive Technology B
If funds permit, the 9th position on the list would be hired next.
IPBT will send a recommendation to College Council’s review and approval.
The hiring search should start immediately as soon as College council approves.
Music and Paralegal Progress Review - Lorrie Ranck recapped the Viability process. The viability committee is not an open meeting to the public. The viability committee consists of: Academic Senate Leadership, Vice President of Instruction, curriculum co-chair, the faculty curriculum chair co-chair, the articulation officer and FA reps and Dean of Equity & Engagement.
Lorrie reminded the team about IPBT Viability Outcomes and recommendations to College Council, June 18, 2019 for Music: continuance of the AA through Winter 2020 based on plan of action and additional measures.
The next 2 IPBT meeting times (January 28th & February 4th) will be used for Viability committee meetings to review Music and Paralegal programs.
Mallory Newell will prepare data for MUSI and PARA
Next IPBT meeting will be scheduled on February 11, 2020.
