Approval of Notes, November 29, 2016 – The notes were approved.
Faculty Hiring Final Outcome -
Espinosa-Pieb sent to the committee via email the original, confidential ranking sheets that the members ranked individually last week. Then, she displayed the Faculty Hiring Ranking Outcome worksheet and asked the team to compare their numbers with the final outcome spreadsheet. The members confirmed the list was correct.
Having confirmed the worksheet numbers were correct, Espinosa-Pieb displayed the Faculty Ranking For 2017 – 2018 Final Outcome. She reminded the members that first eight positions would be hired:
1) Nursing
2) Speech
3) Chemistry
4) Physical Education Coach
5) Child Development & Education
6) Film/TV
7) Speech
8) Arts
IPBT agreed to fill the 9th & 10th positions on the Final Faculty Outcome list if an additional retirement comes in or by the District approval.
The rest of the positions will go into the pool for next year’s voting.
The recommendation to the College Council would be to approve 8 faculty position with the two (9th &10th) positions pending. Once approved the hiring process can move forward.
