Yoku

Yoku

This is a digital, plein-air study in a small Japanese cafe somewhere deep in downtown LA. I didn’t get to finish it on the spot, so most of the illustration is from imagination and remembering how the place felt.

4 AM

4 AM

I had an idea of a short film about a college student who is roommates with their paralysis demon. I wanted to explore the feeling of uneasiness paired with familiarity, such as feeling scared while getting a glass of water from your kitchen at 4 a.m.

This print is paired with Epiphany and it discusses the dominant feeling of femininity, but not expressing it the socially expected way; only in the way that you feel is right.
