Raysa Amador will share her story of courage, perseverance, immigration and inclusion, recounting how one strengthens the power of Latinx and other BIPOC students in higher education by confronting narratives, community, education, and intersectionalities. Amador is a recently retired professor of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Adelphi University. She comes to De Anza to share her decades of experience supporting, encouraging and protecting students of color during their college academic and social journey, and beyond.
