Best DASB Flea Market Vendor,

This message is to inform you that all DASB Flea Market events have been canceled until September 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We recognize that there is no correct answer to how to best operate throughout this never seen before situation, and rather than reopening too soon, we are hoping that the following months' closures will give us enough time to establish new protocols and safety procedures to stop the spread of COVID-19. We appreciate your understanding with this decision as we want to ensure the safety of everyone attending our future events; employees, vendors, and the community. All of you. Us.

While we are researching ways and opportunities to reopen - you are what makes our flea market and your opinion matters. We want this to be an event that will continue to cater a safe and welcoming environment when we are back. We would greatly appreciate any kind of suggestion and feedback you have to how you would like to see our flea market operate when we reopen – you can email your input to fleamarket@fhda.edu.

Moving forward, we will continue to offer the free online DASB Flea Market for our current vendors until we can resume to our normal operations. If you have an online store/website, we would happily add it to our online vendor listing. You can find the online virtual flea market and information on how to be added by visiting: www.deanza.edu/fleamarket/online-market or you can send an email to fleamarket@fhda.edu on how to be added.

If you are a six-month contractor, we will fully refund you for the remainder of your contract as it expires September 2020 – and the refunds will be for July, August, and September. We will immediately begin the refund process and although it may take us a few weeks to process and mail the check to you, we are working on this with urgency.
If you are a monthly vendor who submitted your request to participate at the Flea Market prior to March 13, we will return your check in the mail due to expiration dates and banking policies. If we had not received it prior to the Shelter-in-Place, your check will be returned to you once we are able to return to the Office of College Life
During this time we will not accept any sign-up requests or six-month contract renewals and if you have already sent in your request/contract, we will automatically return it to you once the Office of College Life reopens and we have access to our mailroom again. Once we have more information regarding the re-opening of our office, we will communicate this with you and how to sign up for future DASB Flea Markets.

Once we have a clearer understanding of how our college will move forward in the long-term, we will notify you immediately regarding future Flea Markets for this year. For the latest news, developments, and updates regarding fall Flea Market please visit our website or social media pages/accounts as listed here.

We, once again, apologize for having to cancel the summer months Flea Markets and any inconvenience this may cause. Please know what we do not take these cancelations lightly as we recognize that many vendors rely on our Flea Market as a source of income. We miss seeing all of you, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility while finding ways to safely return to a sense of normalcy.

Sincerely,
