VarelaFHDA successfully collaborated with other districts to advocate to California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) to delay the implementation of the AB19 program cuts scheduled for FY25/26 until FY26/27. Program will retain funding at $2.5M for FY25/26 to allow time for proper planning and adjustment. In FY26/27 funding will be reduced to $1.2M (about 54% cut) 4:00 p.m. Dining Services Closure June 30, 2025 I
VarelaDA is transitioning our food services on July 1 to address the sustainability of operations for our campus. Pacific Dining, which serves our sister college well, will begin providing food services to the De Anza College community beginning July 1.
