    Approval of Notes – October 31, 2017

    The notes were approved with the clarification: “Nguyen will take this to the Academic Senate for discussion and recommendation for IPBT. And then the IPBT's proposal with the Academic Senate recommendation will be taken to College Counsel for approval.”

    Based on Academic Senate vote, Nguyen will bring their recommendation forward for CTE faculty seat on IPBT committee.


    Review of Ceramics Department Data to Remove it from Viability Consideration

    Nguyen provided the enrollment history and data that shows stabilized enrollment figures of Ceramics program.

    Canter informed the committee that the program’s enrollment is stable and success rate is strong. The purchase of a new kiln will keep the program productive and cost effective. (see, Notes – Feb. 28, 2017)

    Lee-Wheat summarized the Viability committee’s process and membership.

    After a brief discussion, the committee unanimously voted in favor of removing Ceramic program from Viability Consideration.


    Review of Submitted Instructional Equipment Requests

    IPBT members broke out in small groups to review division requests for funding.
