Falk Cammin, Ph.D.

Falk CamminFalk Cammin serves as the program director of the Humanities Scholars Work Experience at De Anza and Foothill colleges, and teaches the internship companion courses.  Prior to this, she directed the Humanities Mellon Scholars Program for eight years.  

While on the Foothill College faculty,  Cammin has taught courses for majors, non-majors and Honors students in Humanities, ESL and German. She has also taught within both the Humanities and German Studies Departments at Stanford University.  Her research interests are focused on interdisciplinary and comparative aspects of Trauma Studies.

Cammin received her Ph.D. in German Studies from Stanford University. She also holds an M.A. in German from San Francisco State University, where she graduated cum laude, and an M.A. in Teachihng English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vt.  In her spare time, she enjoys improv acting and mushroom hunting.

Charlie McKellar

Charlie McKellarCharlie McKellar is the program coordinator for the Humanities Scholars Work Experience at De Anza and Foothill colleges. He focuses on budgeting, managing student internship placements, assuring payments are being met, conducting site visits and organizing social events related to arts and humanities.

McKellar has worked for the Foothill-De Anza Community College District since 2001 and has served in several areas including the Emergency Medical Services program, managing the Foothill College Community Education program and coordinating the Humanities Mellon Scholars Program, where he worked in a variety of capacities involving recruitment, budgeting and internship management.

He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Davis, and an M.A. in Linguistics from Gallaudet University.  In his spare time, McKellar enjoys golfing, hiking and spending time with his family.
