$20,000 Scholarship Opportunity for UC Santa Cruz
Dear Student,
Did you know there’s a $20,000 scholarship available each year for a De Anza student who transfers to the University of California, Santa Cruz?
The Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Award provides up to $10,000 a year for two years of study at UC Santa Cruz, along with advising and help with finding summer work experience.
It’s a great opportunity for students, like you, who are planning to attend UC Santa Cruz in the fall. But you must apply for the scholarship AND submit the FAFSA – or California Dream Act Application – no later than March 2.
One Pister scholarship is awarded each year to a deserving De Anza student. Don’t wait too long to apply – the deadline is coming up soon!
To be considered, you must show achievement despite facing social or economic challenges, commitment to assisting others, and financial need. You also must apply and qualify for admission to UC Santa Cruz as a junior transfer student this fall.
