Katelyn Pan President I want to be an advocate and a voice for every person here and help mitigate the financial burden that can come with education. Because I've personally been impacted by how costly school can be, my primary goal is to bolster and increase financial services such as scholarships and grants, and market them effectively so students know what services they can utilize. DeAnza is full of diverse people with unique needs, and I hope that through implementation of new programs like child care, care share, and textbook exchange services, I can help make students' college experience more inclusive and valuable. Michael Wallerius Executive Vice President Hello! My name is Michael Wallerius and I will be running to be your ASB Vice-President. I began my student government career in high school and hope to use that experience to create a more inclusive and collaborative environment here at De Anza. My main goal as VP is to keep students informed of campus and club activities and encourage them to get involved. Building strong relationships is one of the most important components of success and I want everyone to move forward and grow, not just as individuals, but together as a community.

Kong Y Sun Executive Vice President I want to become DASB sanator, Because I am knowledgeable for my business and economics skill, along side with my past executive experience in a company. 1st: I want to help student to be able to transfer to universities. 2nd: I want to help increase minimum wage for our beloved colleague. 3rd: I want to fight for student to be able to get affordable housing near campus! Chair of Finance

Grace Lim Chair of Finance Prior to joining the Finance Committee as a Senator, I did not realize that by paying the $10 annual DASB fee, I contributed to the $1 million budget that funds free food, tutoring, Honors classes, safe spaces, clubs, and more! As Chair, I will serve with discipline, assertiveness and critical-thinking - prioritizing and advocating for students' interest by allocating funds efficiently and reviewing alternative sources of revenue. By working closely with the larger community to explore all creative and traditional means, I also plan to implement long-term financial goals and strategies to put an end to the budget crisis. Nowara Mohamed Chair of Student Rights and Services I would be honored to serve the students of De Anza as the Chair of student rights and services. I am passionate about education for all, and by becoming the chair of student rights and services I will do my best to provide the students of De Anza College with more resources to make their time at De Anza as beneficial as possible. Kimberly Lam Chair of Student Rights and Services Hi everyone, my name is Kimberly Lam and I'm running to be your DASB Chair of Student Rights and Services! I've been deeply involved in advocating for community college students since I've been at De Anza and I hope to continue to make a difference for students through DASB. I feel incredibly blessed to be apart of such a vibrant, passionate, and driven community at De Anza and I want to give back by advocating for more resources (financial, housing, other basic needs) for students and fighting for equity and inclusivity in order to make De Anza a college accessible for every student. Kirana Rafli Chair of Marketing and Communications I firmly believe marketing isn't simply a committee that shares information. It's a crucial body whose responsibility is to create a bridge that ensures transparency between students and school government. That being said, we can achieve this with a creative approach! I plan to improve DASB's social medias to be more efficient and creative through improved posts designs and active scheduled posting. I'd like to continue to create more video projects that are entertaining while informative that me and other interns started in the Fall; such as "Housing Crisis Documentary", "Life of a Senator", and Interviews throughout campus. Chair of Environmental Sustainability

Yuetong Zhang Chair of Environmental Sustainability I am the current Environmental Sustainability Committee public relations officer so I will strive to further the DASB's commitment to serving students. Being the Chair of the ES Committee will give me the opportunity to create a personal engagement with the student body.I want to encourage the development of student initiatives and ideas using DASB resources (such as EcoFund) as well as hear what individuals have to say and advocate for their needs to catalyze changes that students want to see. Khoa-Nathan Van Ngo Chair of Environmental Sustainability My goal as a DASB candidate is to promote greater relations between De Anza and surrounding FUHSD high schools. The unique Environmental programs/opportunities at De Anza are something I want made known to both our student body and our community. They are also something I want to expand. I firmly believe in integrating sustainability in all aspects of De Anza and promoting greater opportunities for students. Ananya Bapat Chair of Legislative Affairs As chair of Legislative Affairs I will endeavour to create an inviting, equitable and inclusive college campus. I will push for minimum wages for on-campus jobs and will explore campus based solutions for those facing a housing crisis. I will further our relationship with other community colleges and will always represent the best interest of the De Anza College community. Fatema Kazi Senator My name is Fatema and I am running to be a DASB Senator. Throughout my life, I have learned that being a leader is being authentic, responsible, innovative, and approachable. I bring a fresh, innovative problem solver mindset to battle your problems. Elected by you, I work for you, to bring your interests to the spotlight. I genuinely enjoy getting to know people. I will utilize that and work hard to advocate for all of your interests and do my very best to ensure those are represented at the college, district, state, and federal levels.

Yvette Reyes Senator Hello Students! My name is Yvette Reyes, and I am running to become your DASB senator! I am currently a full-time student who is studying political science, and this is my second quarter here at De Anza. I have fallen in love with De Anza's diverse and enriching community, and I would love to contribute to the decision-making process that makes this campus so amazing. The goals I would love to accomplish as a senator is to provide more valuable resources to our students and make our campus more environmentally friendly!

Kevin Trinh Senator Hello everyone. My name is Kevin Trinh and I am running for the student body senate. I would like to have a variety of events at De Anza College. I want the students to be able to find an experience that they can relate and enjoy. I hope the students here can have an overall excellent experience at De Anza College.

Britney Tran Senator I want to join De Anza Senate to see beyond schoolwork by planning events that encourage diversity and community prosperity. I plan to accurately represent students' needs and voice their concerns by being accessible to students. Also, focus on inclusiveness and breaking down barriers that make it difficult for students to be involved on campus. My goal is to publicize information and services on campus available to students. There are many scholarships and resources available; however, many students are unaware of them. Additionally, my goal is to ensure all students have the support and resources to achieve their goals.

Kanto Kikuchi Senator I would like to be a senator because I want to work on enhancing our college's eco-friendliness. For the past couple of quarters, I have been working as an intern of the Environmental Sustainability committee. As a member of the committee, I have tried to reduce the plastic garbage on campus and to heighten students' awareness of environmental sustainability. However, I found that it is difficult to implement large ideas because I only have limited rights as an intern. I want to be more involved in the final decision making for actions that the committee takes toward bettering the environment.

18 Alice Lu Senator I want to work on the students' rights issues. As I want to help every student to protect their own rights. I am going to engage in the Student Feedback committee. According to my experience, I don't want students to have inaccurate treatment because of "Rate My Professor." I will make a new system that is similar to it for De Anza with other senators. For me, I have been an intern in DASB from the fall quarter. I did many volunteer before, and I like helping others. I like participating and organizing different activities. I hope to do more.

Iris Kim Senator If I could serve as the senator for DASB, I will work for student unity on campus by creating more on-campus events regarding ethnical diversity and LGBTQ rights. Moreover, I will further revitalize the DASB social media accounts and create an on-campus platform for students to share their concerns. These complaints would be vocalized on campus meetings and I will help resolve it to the best of student's benefits. Based on my experience of serving as the Diversity and Events Committee intern, I will be the means to vocalize student opinion and increase student participation on our campus issues.

Sam Lai Senator I decided to become a senator when I realized students have a huge influence on the community. Being an intern in DASB helped me raising awareness about the housing issue by being part of the filming crew. Nothing can compare to the happiness of being part of the process to make a better community for De Anza students. To represent students' voices accurately, I will work closely with student employees as expensive living costs are a huge obstacle. Increasing minimum wage for student employees would be one of my goals. Therefore, student workers can work and focus on academics simultaneously.

Matthew Holt Senator My name is Matthew Holt and I would love to serve as your Senator in DASB. I currently serve on the DASB Environmental Sustainability committee as an intern working on multiple projects such as Ecofund, Ban the Bottle and more that are in development. If elected, I aim to bring new projects regarding environmental sustainability to De Anza College. Based on the students that I have spoken to, many people share a passion for nature and preserving our world through environmentally friendly practices. I believe, together, we can bring positive change to our campus.

Alyssa Indrajaya Senator Everyone has the right to have a voice. Everyone has the right to be heard. Everyone has the right to gain an unforgettable college experience. I, Alyssa, want to be a DASB Senator because I believe I can help bring about positive change in De Anza. Be it through some small gestures such as posters, to large events such as mixers and tabling, I believe I can create a sense of engagement for more De Anza students, and make them realize that every single one of their opinions matter. I am not perfect, but I'm perfectly willing to work hard.

Erin Zhong Senator My name is Erin Zhong. When I came to America, I found that there exist some gaps between international students and homegrown students. I think it's a normal thing for international students feeling hard to fully integrated into the local community. I want to be a senator because I want to help more students from different countries learn and respect others' cultures and make true friends. I will host cultural exchange activities. I think it will be a very meaningful thing for helping all of you guys who meet the same situation as me.

Chris Mark Hoeft Senator My reason for running for DASB senate is to be in greater touch with students' lives. Working as a freelance reporter for LaVoz and as an intern for legislative affairs has awarded me with a key perspective on the lives of student workers. I hope to address student financial needs and aid in the allocation of funds for their welfare. It is in my best interest that every student is awarded equal opportunity and the resources needed to be successful; including housing, financial aid, as well as counseling.

25 Marchella Kurnia Senator I want to become a DASB senator is because I have the passion to voice out my thoughts and voice out the many benefits of being a part of the DASB marketing team. With my love of socializing, I'm confident that I can provide constructive team work skills and creative ideas to make De Anza a captivating and ideal environment to learn and grow. Goals I would like to achieve would be mainly to recreate the image of a marketing senator as an enjoyable and gainful experience.

Jeffrey Kasprow Senator United together. I am running for DASB senator to represent the students of the past, present, and future. The students of the past have a legacy that needs to be continued. The students of the present have a voice that needs to be heard. The students of the future have obstacles we must overcome. Working together we can achieve whatever we want from our plans to create affordable student housing to making our campus more sustainable. Sparkle Chou Senator Hi everyone! I'm Sparkle. In my high school experiences, I was the president of the Women Basketball club. That was the first time I practice leadership. I want to keep practicing leadership on a more complex level. Running for the Senator, I want to know how the school system works and involve in the School's decisions. I want to improve De Anza College in every perspective. I will mostly focus on improving De Anza students' events because I was the intern of Diversity and Events, so I knew this part better. Bryan Matthew Budiputra Senator To be part of the effort in improving college life by expressing student needs and fulfilling the necessities to create an enjoyable environment is my mission as a DASB senator. This is achieved through the collaboration between the DASB government and the student body to ensure the importance of diversity, safety, and communities on campus. I am driven with motivation to contribute to the community to the best of my abilities. This opportunity will not only be an addition to the government body but will also allow me to expand my knowledge in the role of leadership.

Abdur Syed Senator An international freshmen from Dubai, I am extremely keen on representing 20,000+ students and join the student body senate. After speaking to the student community, I was educated on a common concern, budget cuts. It is evident the budget required to oversee student services or increasing minimum wage is highly contingent on the budget allocated from the state, which has been volatile historically. I plan to bring reforms to this issue by working closely with Marilyn Cheung, Director of international students, by increasing the international student share, who pay 5x more than the average US citizen, thereby creating additional reserves.

Marvin Ari Pramana Senator To empower all students to attain their educational goals is one of De Anza's vision. This powerful vision made me run for Senate. I believe that an inclusive, comfortable, and supportive learning environment creates the best student. Some ways to design this environment are to allocate more budget to the Math Performance Success Program, Student Success Center, and other tutoring centers. Also, to support programs that make textbooks accessible for all students. I have also noticed the waitlist for certain STEM classes, so I want to advocate for the increased number of STEM classes offered in De Anza.
