STUDENT STUDY PLAN FOR SUCCESS:  I would like to encourage you to adopt a study plan to increase your chances of success in this course. BIO54G,H, I and J are difficult courses (especially for students who have never taken anatomy or physiology before) primarily because of the pace of the course. Here are some comments or tips from successful students have taken the BIO54 series.

a) Do a quick read of the chapter, watch the video lecture, then re-read the chapter again more carefully.

b) Make sure to do the lab reports PRIOR to taking the chapter test. The lab reports are designed to help reinforce material.

c) Use the publisher's website for practice quizzes/tests, flashcards, animations, and other study tools. Here is the link.
http://highered.mcgraw-hill.com/classware/infoCenter.do?isbn=0072965630. You can also find this link in the front of your text.

d) Keep up! Students who start late or take a week off may find they simply can't catch up. It's no fun this way!

e) Take advantage of the extra credit. That can really save you.

f) If you have any questions please contact me by phone, email or come to my lab hours.

Good luck!
