De Anza Guitar Students: Open mics are a great way to hear performers of all levels, but are not eligible as Concert Reports (though extra credit can be earned by attending)

Bay Area guitarist and professor at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Marc Teicholz will team up with Seattle-based English guitarist Michael Partington in a special evening of music for guitar duo. They will be performing works by Manuel De Falla, Enrique Granados, Johannes Brahms and much more.

Recent 1st prize winner of the Bay Area Classical Guitar Competition (December 2017) Christopher Mann will be performing Mauro Giuliani’s Concerto No. 1 in A-Major together with the Grace Note Chamber Players, as well as other selected works for solo guitar. His playing has been described as ‘poetic’ and ‘jaw-dropping’. He has been playing since the age of 3, winning his first competition at the age of 7. Since then, he has been performing in Europe and the United States.
