Honors for De Anza Programs

State officials have announced awards for 23 career training programs at De Anza College, recognizing their track record of helping students make significant financial or employment gains.

The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office presented Strong Workforce Star awards for programs that met or surpassed state goals in one or more of these categories:

  • Graduates' earnings increased by at least 50 percent
  • At least 70 percent of graduates earned at or above the regional standard for a living wage 
  • At least 90 percent of graduates found work in a job similar to their chosen field of study 

Each of these is considered an important step toward “building a skilled workforce and advancing personal social mobility.”
