    IPBT Notes – May 5, 2020

    Approval of Notes – The notes from April 21 and April 28, 2020 were approved. 

    DASB Report - 2020-2021 DASB Annual Budget was approved by the Board on May 4, 2020

    After watching a presentation by Lydia Hearn and Kim Palmore about Guided Pathways at the Senate meeting, DASB drafted and finalized the questions they will submit for the President Forum. DASB elected 3 senators for the remaining of this year through its midterm elections. 

    Guided Pathways Presentation – Lydia Hearn and Kim Harding-Palmore presented to the committee an update on the progress of defining the meta-majors for the guided pathways initiative in accordance with the California Community College Chancellor’s Office key goals of guided pathways. The presentation will be taken to the other governance groups for review and then they will present Guided Pathways to College Council for review and approval.

    Resource Allocation - Ranck reported to the committee that she asked deans to review their resource allocation and identify anything that changed or needed a higher priority. Lorrie suggested that the funds would be only partially allocated because of current uncertain situation and not know what is going happened with the funding. Last week the team finalized the questions and those questions went to deans’ review. IPBT will begin scheduling to bring deans in for 20 minutes time period each to give a statement and to respond to questions.

    Lorrie and Mary will work on the schedule and bring back and share with the group.
