SSPBT Meeting Notes - March 16, 2017

Attending Members: Cook (co-chair), Cortez, Doan, Glapion (co-chair), Kirkpatrick, LeBleu-Burns, Mandy, Phillips, Shears, White-Daniels

There were no amendments to the agenda and one made to the notes.

Accreditation Presentation

  • LeBleu-Burns presented an Accreditation Presentation to assist the areas for the Accreditation visit.
    • Need to order name badges for the Student Services departments
    • Develop information packets for everyone to review

Program Review Status Updates

  • Cook thanked everyone for getting caught up with the Program Reviews.
  • 2016-17 Program Reviews need to be completed by the end of spring quarter in June.

Program Review 2016 -17 Timeline

  • The 2015-2022 Planning Quilt can be reviewed at www.deanza.edu/ir/planning
  • Need to develop teams to review the Program Reviews
  • Resource Allocation
    • Create resource request
    • Bring to SSPBT for review
    • Receive request if approved
    • Need to follow-up with the results from the allocation
    • Will provide the rubric that includes the criteria

  • The Starfish kick-off date has been scheduled for March 23rd.

Philips provided more information on Career Week for De Anza students

    • Interviewing Skills:

      • Hear from alumni and professionals about their careers in STEM fields!
      • Lunch will be provided at 1:30 PM and there will also be raffle prizes.
