The Biological, Health and Environmental Sciences and Workforce Education Division Office is
located in the Kirsch Center for Environmental Sciences building located
on the southeast corner of the campus near the McClelland Road entrance.
The division offers a diversified curriculum and a broad range of programs
to meet students needs. The courses offered are designed for students
with specific degree objectives in a biological field as well as for non-major
students with general interest in biology.
Historically, the biology department has been known for its excellence
in preparing students for transfer to four-year colleges and professional
health care certification programs. In addition, De Anza's biology program
also equips students to succeed in programs provided at De Anza College,
such as those offered through the Environmental Studies, Nursing, and
Health Technology Departments.
