Meet Our Students

Students entering the De Anza College Nursing Program represent a wide variety of educational and experiential and cultural backgrounds. They embrace many beliefs, values and interests. Their different ages, ambitions and goals help to weave a cultural mosaic similar to the populations they will serve. Diversity is appreciated and celebrated in our program!

The nursing experience at De Anza College is further enriched by the various options that are offered within our program. Foreign nurses who are completing the requirements for the Board exams are placed with generic students, sharing their culture. Refresher nurses, who are returning to the workforce, contribute past work experiences in nursing. Advanced placement students, who have come from other nursing schools, add a different perspective on nursing. In total, the experience is richly diverse.
