Update on Student Vaccinations

More than half of De Anza students who are registered for on-campus classes this fall have already uploaded their vaccine documents. All students registered for on-campus classes received a follow-up message this week about the COVID-19 vaccination requirements for fall quarter.

In order to attend classes on campus, students must upload proof of final vaccination to the PyraMED secure health records site no later than Oct. 1, or they will be dropped from any on-campus classes in which they are registered. (Students who are not fully vaccinated by the start of classes will need to comply with additional rules, including testing, until two weeks after their final shot.)

Students and employees still have time to get vaccinated before classes begin. The one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available at a special Health Services clinic on campus this Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 13 and 14. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will also be available. For more information about the event, visit deanza.edu/healthservices/events.

The latest information was sent by email to students registered for on-campus classes this fall, and was also shared with all students on social media, the college website and MyPortal.

You’ll find all the requirements for returning to campus at deanza.edu/return-to-campus/fall-2021. The district will provide more information soon about the procedure for employees to upload their vaccination records.
