Admission Policy

De Anza College does not provide commission, bonuses or other incentive payments based on service members' enrollment.  De Anza College operates on an open admission policy meaning that any prospective student which has completed high school or attained a GED certificate may enroll in classes.

In-State Tuition Policy

The De Anza College policy for beneficiaries using GI Bill® benefits follows the guidelines provided in P.L. 116-315 Isakson and Roe, and the Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act (VACA).  

In accordance with Section 1005 of the Isakson and Roe Act, students receiving benefits will not be charged nonresident fees, and will only be charged tuition and fees at a rate that is equal to or less than the rate charged California state residents.

Military Service School Credit

Students may receive college credit for military service schools by submitting a copy of their DD214.

Basic Military Training: Nine units of credit are awarded for basic military training including three units of physical education and six units of elective credit.
