Volunteer Teaching Assistants Spring 2023

CIS students and CIS faculty appreciate the assistance our volunteer teaching assistants alias tutors provide. Benefits for the tutees is being helped over the little hurdle in understanding a topic or finding that mischievous error in the code.

Prospective Volunteer Teaching Assistants

Advantages for the teaching assistants include a letter of recommendation to College(s) and/or employers. Most importantly you will develop the ability to work with another person's code and to develop team work skills - all in abiding by the mantra "help the student, not the assignment".

Become a teaching assistant:

Step 1:

Complete the form Application for Teaching Assistant Position including signature of CIS instructor who is recommending you. Student who have completed at least one of the following courses are eligible: CIS 22B, CIS 27, CIS 36B, CIS 35A.
