De Anza will host its annual Enrollment Day event for graduating high school students and their families on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Main Quad and other locations.

Sixteen faculty members were granted tenure by the Foothill-De Anza district Board of Trustees on Monday, during a special celebration attended by Chancellor Lee Lambert and leaders from the college and district.

Employees are invited to meet the De Anza's external peer review team, learn more about the accreditation process, support the college's accreditation efforts and give input during an online town hall meeting this Friday, March 15, from noon-1 p.m.

Four members of the De Anza College community will be honored in March with Excellence Awards from the national League for Innovation in the Community College. They were selected for their outstanding service to the college and its students.

Starting this week, a new video series promoting De Anza's noncredit programs can be seen on the college website, YouTube channel and social media channels including Instagram, Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).

De Anza will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its Village Centers - designated spaces on campus for each of the six Villages - with a daylong, progressive party for students and employees, featuring food, games and giveaways at each location.

De Anza has received its first-ever grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, providing $150,000 for an ambitious, three-year effort to create and expand oral history programs focused on historically marginalized communities.

De Anza will host the Jan. 31 kickoff for the 2024 Silicon Valley Reads campaign, along with a related art exhibit at the Euphrat Museum and a separate campus event next Wednesday, Jan. 24, with artist and climate activist Favianna Rodriguez.

President Holmes has announced the current search for the position of vice president of Instruction has been terminated and the forum set for Tuesday, Nov. 14, has been canceled.

De Anza has again been named one of the nation's top 150 community colleges by the prestigious Aspen Institute College Excellence Program, which has invited De Anza to enter a $1 million prize competition for colleges with outstanding performance in teaching, learning, equity and other factors.
