The main objective of the Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree program in Journalism is to help you gain employment or upgrade your skills in an occupation. 

A.A.-T. Degree in Journalism

If you complete an Associate in Arts for Transfer (A.A.-T.) degree and meet the minimum eligibility requirements at De Anza, you are guaranteed priority admission consideration to the CSU system, although not to a specific campus. You can explore your options on the CSU Student Transfer website.

NEW: Public Relations Certificates 

De Anza is now offering a Certificate of Achievement and a Certificate of Achievement-Advanced in public relations to help prepare students for careers in public relations and related fields. Students can earn a certificate and a degree concurrently.

General Education Requirements

We offer a variety of Journalism courses that may be applied toward General Education (GE) requirements. Talk with your counselor to determine which Journalism and Mass Communication courses fit into your academic plan.
