De Anza has been awarded $1.55 million in state funding over the next five years for a new cohort program to support historically underrepresented students who want to transfer in STEM majors.

Bestselling author Reyna Grande will discuss her work and her experiences as an immigrant and first-generation college student during a special Feb. 17 appearance, hosted online by De Anza College as part of this year's Silicon Valley Reads campaign.

De Anza has won a $2.25 million grant to help coordinate delivery of many student services through the new Guided Pathways Villages, expand the current Learning Communities and create a new Ethnic and Pride Inclusion Center for historically underserved students, including LGBTQ+ students.
