    Approval of Agenda & Minutes from November 26 meeting

    Needs and Confirmations
    • Discussion regarding the protocols for needs and confirmations
      • Goals: Request a minimum amount of time for requests. The executive committee would like a full week to review applicants. 
    • Interim VP of Admin Services hiring committee faculty member:
        • Karen withdrew her name for consideration 
        • Cynthia Kaufman was confirmed for service on the Interim VP of Admin Services hiring committee Results in favor (13), abstention (2), opposition (1)

    Committee Updates
    • Instructional Planning and Budget Team (IPBT)
      • Football submitted a funding proposal to keep football. They are working with IPBT.
      • In process of updating Program Review document. Questions for equity have been added. Questions regarding CTE programs have been updated to parallel information needed on reports for Strong Workforce and other funds.
      • Resource allocation work is a little behind due to the budget. Department requests from the past can be found at: https://deanza.edu/gov/ipbt/program_review_files.html
      • It is not known at this time if extra lottery money is available for allocation. 
    • College Council
      • Accepted PE division’s proposed plan for the football program.
      • Equity framework was shown by Mallory. 
      • Concern was expressed at CC regarding the 100% no smoking policy

    Guided Pathways Update 
    • Karen shared Guided Pathways presentation
    • Feedback was given on the slides, concept overall, and where Senate stands with regards to Guided Pathways and the “Student-Centered Funding Formula.”

    College Convocation Request
    • Due to time considerations, this item was tabled to next meeting.
